Situated on a tree-lined street north of Sunset Blvd. in Brentwood California, this pre-war Spanish style home has been sensitively restored over several years by its current owner. The main house sits toward the street with a garage and covered patio structure positioned to its rear accessible by a side driveway. The project objective contemplated the renovation of this structure to a studio/gallery space with a new kitchen and bathroom. The building interior was completely stripped and re-built and the outdoor patio space incorporated into the new plan. The adjoining garden and pool was fully renovated, including a reconfigured pool, new furniture and upgrades to hardscape and planting materials. The space was carefully finished with examples of classic vintage furniture designs and the client’s modern art collection.
